New SmartBus route servicing Doncaster Hill

One of the major public transport upgrades for Doncaster has arrived, with the Green Orbital SmartBus service between Chelsea and Airport West (route 902) commencing on Monday 5 April.

The route will travel west along Doncaster Road and north up Williamsons Road, stopping at Westfield Doncaster. It will connect Manningham residents with major train stations such as Nunawading and Eltham, as well as V/Line train services at Broadmeadows and The Glen and Greensborough Plaza Shopping Centres.

The Red Orbital SmartBus service (route 903), which runs between Mordialloc and Altona and also stops at Westfield Doncaster, and is Melbourne's most popular bus service, carrying more than 17,000 passengers per day.
The State Government is offering passengers of the new Green Orbital SmartBus service a free trial until Sunday 18 April.
