Doncaster Hill is 20 year vision to create a mixed use sustainable urban village in the civic heart of Manningham. 

One of the most significant planning projects in metropolitan Melbourne, Doncaster Hill features contemporary medium to high density housing within walking distance to shops, restaurants and entertainment, workplaces, schools and public transport.

The vision for Doncaster Hill is:

  • Lifestyle choice - with more than 5400 apartments to be built by 2036, the Hill will feature contemporary medium to high density housing and provide housing choice for residents. The Hill is linked to major public transport routes and is serviced by orbital SMARTBUS routes and high frequency bus services to the City.

  • A rich and vibrant culture - Doncaster Hill is a bustling cosmopolitan centre for residents and visitors, with restaurants, cafés, public art, entertainment and shopping at your doorstep.

  • Attractive outdoor spaces - Doncaster Road is being transformed into a tree-lined boulevard and will be the focus of vibrant street activity. Safe and attractive streets and open spaces encourage walking and cycling.

  • Connecting the community - Manningham's flagship $38 million community hub (MC²) encourages community interaction and participation in learning, culture and the arts. This contemporary 'one stop shop' includes a library, community support services, family and health services, a gallery and performing arts space.

  • Business prosperity and local employment - a $650M redevelopment of Westfield Doncaster, completed in 2010 was a catalyst for ongoing local development and confidence in the Hill is high. A current Amendment (C104) is proposed which will see a further $500M invested into Westfield Doncaster. People living in Doncaster Hill are able to work close to home, with a variety of businesses attracted to the area.
